The story commences in 1526, when Maestro Bartolomeo Beretta from Gardone (1490 – 1565/68) sold 185 harquebus barrels to the Venice Arsenal for 296 ducats. The official beginning of Beretta’s business is recorded on a small piece of paper, which we can refer to as an invoice, that was discovered and preserved in the state archives of Venice. However, it is highly likely that Beretta had been operating for at least two generations before this, as evidenced by his title of Maestro and the Venetian republic’s selection of his products.
Led by generations of entrepreneurs, the Group has embarked on an international journey through several strategic acquisitions, aiming to bring together under one umbrella the essence of precision manufacturing and historical craftsmanship.

Dare in Brocca,hit the target
Our symbol, also called the arrows, are inspired from the original designs created by the Italian poet Gabriele d’Annunzio being now the logo worn by Beretta. It means “Dare In Brocca” or “hit the target”.
For Beretta Holding, this marks the continuation of a legacy spanning 15th and 16th generations of three leaders who aspire to reach new heights and explore endless opportunities for growth.

Our office in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg gathers colleagues from eight different nationalities and experts in areas such as treasury, accounting, controlling, and engineering. Located in a historical building situated in the city center of Luxembourg-city, our office serves as the focal point for our diverse group.
